On top, looking down

Here you are ready to descend from the loft using the alternating tread staircase. This is just a mock-up that Bob Smith provided us, but the slope and tread shape will be the same. Having walked up and down this about twenty times now, I am amazed at how comfortable it is to get up and down this thing, even hold something in your hands. I have yet to try it holding a case of wine, but I'm pretty sure I could do it.
